Angelite

Discovered in Peru, Angelite is a form of celestite that has been compressed over millions of years. Angelite can sometimes even contain splashes of red hematite. As the name implies angelite is a stone for opening your communication with the higher realms, deepening attunement and heightening awareness.

Angelite is a stone of telepathic reception and projection. It can help make astral journies easier and more intuitive. It is also a stone for helping to understand astrological information. Emotionally angelite is a stone of compassion, especially self compassion. It can help you speak your truth.

Comprised of feldspar in short prismatic crystals, Amazonite is a vital stone that you should have with you every moment of the day. Amazonite sooths aggravation, dispelling nervous energy, and calms the nervous system. It aligns the physical body with the astral and etheric bodies, so you are “holding your space well.”

But what makes amazonite so very vital is its ability to disrupt and block electromagnetic pollution from our personal and household electronics.  Many of us have a television in even our bedrooms, and it is not uncommon for people to rely on a cell phone for an alarm. Cells phones are with many of us almost every moment of our day. Amazonite will help filter the pollution, and should be placed between your physical body and sources of pollution like computers, televisions, radios, microwaves and other devices. Good Luck Bathwork

For those that attended the Bathwork class this past Saturday (and for those who want a taste what they missed) here is the list of ingredients we used for our Good Luck bath:

Hematite

Perhaps one of the most widely recommended stones for protection, hematite is the mineral form of iron oxide, and is harder than iron, but more brittle. It is useful at balancing energies, and grounding, and has some of the same effects at dispelling magics that are usually attributed to iron.

Hematite is powerful for keeping unwanted energies from becoming attached to your aura, and encourages you to be able to overcome your obstacles. Hematite is said to be helpful in math, logical thinking, and overcoming addictions and compulsive behaviors.

Because of it’s magnetic nature, hematite helps bring balance to the nervous system, and creates balance between mind, spirit and body. It is often used to help people (especially women) to overcome timidity.  Hematite is especially good for legal matters, or matters involving machinery.

Hematite is another stone that has powerful connections to the blood. Having skin contact with hematite is said to be helpful in the absorption of iron, and the formation of red blood cells. Helpful to the kidneys, hematite is also a good stone for the treatment of anxiety, leg cramps, and spinal ailments. Hematite is one of the main stones used in treating insomnia, and placed on the body will help draw out a fever.

Hematite vibrates with the musical note D and High C. Use of a tuning fork, singing bowl or musical instruments with the D or High C notes will enhance the effects of hematite, and help energize the stone.

Bloodstone

If you are in need of courage, then bloodstone is the stone for you. Bloodstone is actually a variety of quartz, but it’s unique makeup makes it a stone associated with the power of the blood and thus the heart. Bloodstone will give you courage, help you to recognize when to retreat, dispel bewilderment, and perhaps most importantly recognize when the chaos around you is needed for growth. “Be brave, this is something that must be done” is the message of the bloodstone. It is also a stone that help you in your ability to banish unwanted spirits or energies.

In ancient times bloodstone was said to be an “audible oracle” able to guide you by subtle sounds. Because of it’s energy, you will be more receptive to messages you really need to hear. It allows for the wisdom of practical guidance. Because of this, with it’s ability to help ground, and it’s connection to blood, the heart, and courage, bloodstone is a key stone for renewing a relationship.

Perhaps the most powerful aspect however is it’s ability to be used in healing the Ancestral line.

Bloodstone is a blood purifier, and is great for the kidneys, spleen, bladder and liver. It is effective against acute infections. It is helpful against leukemia because it cleanses the blood while fighting toxins. The ancient Egyptians used bloodstone to heal tumors.

Wear or carry bloodstone for good health. Place in a bowl of water next to your bed to help with restful sleep. Make sure you empty the water down the drain without touching the water every morning, and wash the water down the drain with a splash of white vinegar.

Your Magical Inheritance (Creating a basic Ancestor Altar)

Your Magical Inheritance

Real change. Real magic. We all want it. We all want the ability to change the odds, to manipulate probability, or in other words to get that lucky break. What good is magic (or energy work as it is sometimes called) if we cannot get real and measurable change in our lives? We all have needs, wants and desires and seek ways, both physical and magical, to achieve those goals.

As a member and instructor at the Quantum Life Science Institute I am often asked what types of spirits I work with to get measurable results quickly. The answer often surprises them.

While ancient Goddesses, animal allies, and soaring Angels can indeed be amazingly powerful, the quickest and most efficient results are often from our dearly departed Ancestors. When you have a need or a want, even in life we turn to our relatives. Why should this change when they die? Their spirit continues on, and often freed of the limitations of a physical body they can help us even more easily.

On a deeply intuitive level, we as humans already know this. It is easy to see the still rising popularity of genealogy. There is more to this trend than wanting to know who we came from. The spirits of our Ancestors not only can help us, they want to! They are connected to us by bone, blood, DNA and in some cases choice alone. They want to see you thrive and be able to pass on these things to further generations.

Our Ancestors are our first line of protection. They can help us with a wide variety of issues from ongoing health issues to wealth and financial issues. They are wise councilors, often telling us what we need to hear as opposed to what we desire. They are good sounding boards and keen messengers. They can encourage us and help us with emotional support. And most importantly, because we have a strong connection to them, they have a much stronger likelihood to be honest with us and to look out for our well being than other spirits may.

The first and most basic step to working with Ancestor spirits is an Ancestor Altar. This is a place you will go to meditate and commune with them, and also to leave food and gifts so they can have the energy they need to affect change.

To create the most basic altar take a white cloth that has been washed with a cleansing flower wash called Florida water (available on thewanderingowl.com) and dried in the sun. Use it to cover a small table that has also been washed with Florida water. Place four stones from around your yard at the four corners. In the center place a glass or wood cup of cool water, and behind it a white candle. Decorate this further with old photos, keepsakes, or other items of meaning. (Do not place photos of the living onto this altar.)

To begin, start with an Ancestor you knew when they were alive. Light the candle, say a prayer, and then sit and remember them with fine detail until it feels like they are present with you. When you begin to sense them, tell them what your intent was with the altar. Tell them it is a place for them to come and visit and communicate. Ask them if there is anything they want to tell you. Make sure that you do not believe everything they say at first, and ask them several times to confirm who they are. Do this until you are sure. Once you have one very strong connection, you will be able to ask them to help you, and to answer questions to the best of their ability. Record what they say, what emotions this gives you, and if you ask them for help what things they were successful at helping you with. This will lead to a better understanding of how they may best help you moving forward. Replace the water daily and the candle as needed.

The relationship you renew with your Ancestors can be highly rewarding, and also can be the first step to a much wider spiritual outlook. They are after all your magical inheritance.
